What
to Expect
We utilize upbeat
music, drama and practical messages to provide a positive impact on
your week. While Princeton Community Church is truly Never Church as
Usual, there are some things that you can always expect:
A
warm but not intrusive greeting
Greeters at the door will smile and offer you a paper program explaining
what will be
going on in the coming weeks at the Princeton Church. They are there
if you need them
so ask them a question and see what they know. If you don't have any
questions
"Fuhgettaboutit!"
A safe place for kids
For those of you with children, there is a sign-in table in the lobby
when you walk in with a person to welcome you and point you in the right
direction. We have classes for children who are infants through 5th
graders. Each month on the first Sunday of the month we have Family
Day, where children in grades 1-3 sit with their family in the regular
service. See our Children's Ministry Page for more information.
Cup of Joe?
Inside the lobby, we offer complimentary coffee and tea. Chances are
the other person grabbing a cup of coffee in line ahead of you is here
for the first time as well so relax and enjoy.
Though we do reserve
the right to alter the order or the contents of the service on any given
Sunday, these are a few things that you can expect on a regular basis
at either of our Sunday morning services...
A
time of singing
We serve a Living God who has captivated our hearts by His love. We
let Him know that
we appreciate who He is and what He has done by singing a few "love
songs" to Him.
A time of giving
God is doing great things through His people at the Princeton Community
Church!
Those of us who believe in the way God is working through this church
give money to
support what is happening. If you are here for the first time, please
do not give anything.
We are happy to have you here as our guest.
A message time
That is message time, not massage time! Someone will speak for about
20 minutes. It
may be a guest speaker or staff member. We are currently in an interim
period without a senior pastor, however during the months of September,
October, and November, Eric Ferris will be teaching us with his witty
sense of humor and giving us some insightful and meaningful messages
from the Word of God. We also communicate truths to support the theme
of the day through Drama, Song, Multi Media, Dance and, well, come out
for yourself and see how enjoyable it can be to learn!
A communion time
This is when we remember that Jesus Christ loves us and forgives us
for everything we've ever done wrong. He did this through His atoning
death on the cross. Basically we are made right with God by accepting
Jesus sacrifice and by aligning our hearts with His desire for us. Eating
the bread and drinking the juice reminds us of what Jesus did and how
He backed His claims up by raising from the dead. It's a moving time
that you may or may not choose to be a part of. That is up to you. Either
way the process will be explained clearly so that you will not feel
awkward.
After the service
Have another cup of coffee. Say "hi" to a few people or stop
in the Cafe for our monthly Newcomers Reception (the first Sunday of
each month) then head out. It's really not that
painful and you'll be a better person for it. Guaranteed.
